Michael Vawter (BS/MBA) is an abstract photographer, modular synthesist, web developer, singer, guitarist, and holistic health researcher who lives and works nomadically (with a home base in Ohio). His images and music are created using analog hardware with zero post-processing.
Michael is best known for his work with LEGO robotics; he was in Popular Science magazine, on TV with Bill Nye, inducted into the National Gallery for Young Inventors, and won 1st Place Robot Performance at the FIRST LEGO League World Festival in ’05 and ’06. Michael co-founded the Robot Academy in ’08, which has since graduated thousands of students. He retired from teaching in ’21 and now focuses on music, web design projects, and multiple top-secret new ventures which may or may not ever see the light of day.
Michael graduated from Denison University in ’14 with a BS in Psychology, a minor in Vocal Performance, and significant coursework in computer science. He later obtained an MBA in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from Seton Hill University.
